Terms of use, purchase policy and privacy policy for online shopping.
This is a translation provided for convenience. The binding version of these terms is the Hebrew one; in any conflict between the versions, the Hebrew text prevails.
Chapter A: Definitions, General Provisions and Binding Agreement
1.1. Welcome to the Unicco online store (the “Site”), operated and managed by R.H.M.I. Food and Beverage Import Ltd. (the “Company” or “Unicco”).
1.2. These terms constitute a binding legal agreement between the Company and any person who browses the Site, registers on it, uses it or places an order through it (the “User” or the “Customer”). Browsing the Site, registering on it and performing any action on it constitute the express and irrevocable consent of the User to all of the terms, provisions and policies set out here.
1.3. If you do not agree to any of these terms, please stop using the Site immediately.
1.4. The following definitions apply throughout these terms:
“The Site” – the Unicco website, the mobile shopping application and any other digital interface operated by the Company.
“The Products” – food, consumer goods, toiletries, fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, and any other product offered for sale on the Site from time to time.
“Business day” – weekdays (Sunday to Thursday), excluding Fridays, Saturdays, festival eves, festival days, the intermediate days of festivals and official days of rest in Israel.
“Shopping cart” – the collection of products selected by the User for purchase during a particular visit to the Site.
1.5. The Company reserves the sole right to amend, update, add or remove provisions of these terms at any time, at its sole discretion, without individual prior notice. The updated version published on the Site is the version binding on Users from the date of its publication.
1.6. The Hebrew original is written in the masculine form for convenience only and is addressed equally to women and men.
Chapter B: Eligibility, Registration and Account Security
2.1. Any person wishing to make a purchase on the Site declares and undertakes that they meet all of the following conditions:
They are aged 18 or over and have the legal capacity to perform binding legal acts.
They are a citizen or resident of the State of Israel holding a valid identity card.
They hold a valid Israeli or international credit card issued in Israel by one of the authorised credit card companies, and an accessible, active email address.
2.2. Placing an order on the Site requires opening a user account or providing complete and accurate personal details, including: full name, identity card number, detailed delivery address, mobile telephone number and email address.
2.3. Providing false or partial details is strictly prohibited and constitutes a criminal offence under law. The Company reserves the right to take any legal measure available to it against a person providing false details, including cancelling the order, blocking the account and claiming damages.
2.4. The User is solely responsible for keeping their username and personal password confidential. Any action performed using the Customer username and password will be treated as an action performed by the Customer, who bears full responsibility for it.
2.5. The Company may deny any User access to the Site, block an account or cancel an order at its sole discretion, including in cases of breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, provision of incorrect details or a financial debt to the Company.
Chapter C: Orders, Product Range, Stock Availability and Weighed Products
3.1. The range of products, brands and prices shown on the Site is intended for retail purchase for domestic and personal use only. The Company may limit the maximum quantity of products that may be purchased in a single order, and may prevent purchases of a wholesale nature, at its sole discretion.
3.2. Product images shown on the Site are for illustration only. The packaging, design, country of origin or product details as actually supplied may differ. The binding product specification is the one printed on the product packaging itself.
3.3. Weighed products (vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, cheese and similar)
The price of weighed products is shown on the Site per unit of weight (per kilogram or per 100 grams). The total price shown in the shopping cart when the order is placed is an estimate only, based on the average weight of the product.
The final charge will be made solely according to the weight of the product as actually weighed at the time of picking and packing, and according to the price per kilogram in force at the time of the order.
The Customer agrees in advance to a reasonable variation of up to 15% (plus or minus) in the weight and in the final charge for weighed products.
3.4. Out-of-stock products and substitutes
The Company makes efforts to ensure the availability of all products but does not undertake that every product shown on the Site is in stock at all times.
If a particular product is out of stock at the time of picking, the Company will act according to the preference set by the Customer when placing the order: a telephone call offering a substitute product, advance approval of a similar substitute, or omitting the product from the delivery without charge.
Where a substitute product is supplied with the approval of the Customer, the product will be charged at the price of the originally ordered product.
3.5. Sale of alcohol, tobacco and age-restricted products
The sale of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and cigarettes is permitted only to customers aged 18 and over.
When delivering an order containing alcohol or tobacco products, the Company courier is entitled and authorised to require the recipient to present official photographic identification. If the recipient is not an adult or refuses to present identification, the restricted products will not be delivered and the Customer will bear the handling and return fees.
In accordance with the law, alcoholic beverages will not be delivered between 23:00 and 06:00.
Chapter D: Prices, Payment and Payment Processing
4.1. Product prices shown on the Site are quoted in new Israeli shekels and include value added tax as required by law, unless expressly stated otherwise.
4.2. The Company may update and change product prices, delivery fees, handling fees and promotions on the Site at any time, at its sole discretion. The binding price for each order is the price displayed on the Site at the time the Customer confirmed the order.
4.3. Means of payment
Payment on the Site will be made by a valid credit card issued in Israel only, or by approved gift vouchers and coupons as defined by the Company from time to time.
Payment cannot be made in cash, by cheque, or by a direct or immediate-debit card as the sole backup card, unless otherwise agreed.
4.4. Credit authorisation hold
On completion of the order on the Site, the Company will place an authorisation hold on the credit card in the amount of the estimated order plus a defined security margin (up to 20%), in order to cover weighing differences and product updates. The final charge will be made only after picking and packing are complete and the final invoice has been issued.
Chapter E: Delivery, Time Slots, Delivery Areas and Collection
5.1. Deliveries are made only within the defined delivery areas of the Company. Before placing an order, it is the responsibility of the Customer to verify that the requested delivery address is included in the list of delivery areas on the Site.
5.2. When placing an order the Customer will select an available delivery time slot from those offered on the Site. The Company will make every effort to deliver within the selected time slot.
5.3. Delivery fees and minimum order
The Company may set a minimum purchase amount for placing an order on the Site (for example 150 shekels including VAT).
A delivery fee will be added to every order, as detailed on the Site at checkout. The Company may grant an exemption from delivery fees for orders above a certain amount, in accordance with the promotions policy in force.
5.4. Leaving the delivery at the door
If the Customer is not present at the address at the time of delivery, within the delivery slot they selected, they hereby give their advance consent and express authorisation for the delivery to be left at the door of the address registered as the delivery location.
Giving such authorisation to leave the delivery at the door constitutes a full and complete release of the Company from any liability for loss, theft, spoilage or damage caused to the products (including frozen and fresh products) from the moment they are left at the door.
5.5. An order received on a Friday or Saturday, on a festival eve or on a festival day, will be delivered during Sunday or immediately after the festival.
5.6. The Company will not be liable for any delay in delivery arising from force majeure events, strikes, war, a security or national emergency, road closures, extreme weather damage or other circumstances outside its direct control.
5.7. Collection in person from the Company warehouses is not available in any form.
Chapter F: Cancellation, Changes and Returns
6.1. The cancellation and returns policy of the Company has been drawn up in accordance with the Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981 and the Consumer Protection Regulations (Cancellation of a Transaction), 5771-2010.
6.2. Cancelling an order before delivery: the Customer may cancel or change their order without a double charge by contacting the customer service centre or through the Site, provided that contact was made within the permitted time window before picking and packing began.
6.3. Cancellation after receiving the delivery
The Customer may cancel the transaction in respect of non-perishable products within 14 days of receiving the delivery (or 4 months for people with disabilities, senior citizens and new immigrants, in accordance with the law).
Cancellation is conditional on returning the products in their original packaging, intact, undamaged and unused.
6.4. Exceptions to the right of cancellation – products that cannot be returned
In accordance with the law, the right of cancellation will not apply to the following products: perishable and fresh products (meat, fish, dairy, vegetables, fruit, baked goods and flowers); products manufactured or cut specially for the Customer; products capable of being recorded, reproduced or duplicated whose packaging has been opened; and medicines or food supplements.
6.5. Checking the delivery and reporting a defect
The Customer is required to check the contents of the delivery immediately upon receipt. In the event of a missing item, a defect or a discrepancy in a product, the Customer must notify the customer service centre within 24 hours of delivery. The Company will examine the report and credit the Customer where necessary.
6.6. Where a transaction is cancelled other than due to a defect or discrepancy, the Company will be entitled to charge the Customer a cancellation fee of 5% of the transaction price or 100 shekels, whichever is lower, and to deduct the delivery fee actually incurred.
Chapter G: Promotions, Benefits, Coupons and Customer Club
7.1. The Company may offer promotions, discounts, benefits and coupons on the Site from time to time. The Company reserves the right to change, discontinue or replace any promotion or benefit at any time, without prior notice.
7.2. Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotions, discounts and coupons cannot be combined. A discount coupon or gift voucher cannot be exchanged for cash and no change will be given against it.
7.3. Redeeming a discount coupon or benefit may be conditional on a minimum purchase amount (net, after deducting the benefit), on the purchase of particular products, or on a defined validity period.
7.4. Where a customer club is operated on the Site, the accumulation of points, the redemption of club benefits and the conditions of membership will operate in accordance with the detailed customer club terms of the Company.
Chapter H: Limitation of Liability, Manufacturer Liability and Indemnity
8.1. Sole responsibility for the quality of the products, their composition, their expiry dates, their representations and their instructions for use rests with the manufacturers of the products or the official importers, in accordance with the warranty they grant under law.
8.2. The Company makes efforts to ensure the proper operation of the Site but does not undertake that the service on the Site will run without interruptions, technical faults, viruses or unauthorised access.
8.3. The Company, its directors, its employees and anyone acting on its behalf will bear no liability for any direct, indirect, consequential or special damage caused to the User or to a third party as a result of using the Site, purchasing products through it, a delay in delivery, or reliance on information appearing on it.
8.4. In any event, the total liability of the Company towards the Customer on any ground whatsoever will be limited to the maximum amount paid by the Customer for the specific order in respect of which the claim is made.
8.5. The User undertakes to fully indemnify and compensate the Company for any damage, loss, loss of profit, payment or expense (including legal fees) caused to it as a result of a breach of these terms or a breach of the law by the User.
Chapter I: Intellectual Property and Copyright
9.1. All copyright and intellectual property rights in the Site, including the Unicco brand name, the graphic design, the interface, the code, the databases, the texts, the images, the logos, the trade marks and the trade secrets, are the exclusive property of the Company.
